This morning, my Mom called to let me know that my Aunt Lee passed away last night. Aunt Lee is my Great-Grandmother's twin sister. They would have turned 88 years old together this April. From what I understand, she died peacefully.....in her bed, asleep. My heart goes out to MomMom...I can't fathom losing my sister, let alone my twin sister. They meant the world to each other. Aunt Lee was a beautiful person with a huge heart. I'm ashamed to say I haven't visited my family in Delaware very often as an adult...living out in TN for several years and then having babies has made it difficult. But we traveled there a lot when I was growing up. Aunt Lee was a talented quilter...I have several of her handmade quilts in my house....and I get compliments on them all the time.
She also had this very short, fat little dog for a long time. I can't remember it's name. During one visit ...I was maybe 9 or 10 years old....Erin and I were playing with the dog and I got a little too close.....she bit me right in the face. I never went near that dog again. lol
This picture was taken the last time I saw her...the summer after Hannah was born. I think she looks really good here.
Aunt Lee, I love you. I'm glad you're at peace. You'll be missed!

Sarah, what a wonderful tribute to Aunt Lee, she would have loved it! And Midge was the dog's name.
