What we do from 6-7PM. :)

Yesterday after dinner, we went out on the front porch to blow some bubbles.  We usually do this when the weather is nice while we wait for Daddy to get home from his loooong drive home from work.

The girls wanted to take turns being the photographer and we got a little silly....Sadie liked taking a more scenic photo....

..While Hannah went for the close-ups.  (I happen to LOVE this picture of Sadie-she's the cutest little butternut squash)

Sadie took this one...a self portrait.

And here's the 3 of us acting like fruit loops...

Bead Class

For the past two mornings, the girls have been taking a bead class at a bead store downtown.  Yesterday they chose colors and rolled clay into beads.  Then today, they strung their handmade beads and added some matching glass beads from the store to fill out a necklace and bracelet.

Stringing beads....

Proud girls with beautiful jewelry!

Sadie turns 4!

Yesterday, our baby turned four years old!  Time just seems to go by faster, the older I get.  I'm telling you, I'm afraid to blink sometimes!
On Sunday, we celebrated with her friends at the bowling alley.  She even got her own bowling party shirt and a bowling pin for her buddies to sign.

Granny- style bowling with Daddy...

Sadie still loves her some Dora, so this was the cake she chose from Wal-Mart.

Here's some of the crew playing with party balloons...

Cake!!

It was a fun afternoon, Happy Birthday Sadie!

A VMI 4th

This is the second time we've gone to VMI for the 4th of July.  We had so much fun last year, we decided to make it an annual thing.  They do an Alumni dinner, hot air balloons, music, moon bounces, and fireworks.  This year it was HOT!  Not even a ride on the carousel could cool us down!

Our friends, Dan and Nikki met us there with their daughter Abby.  The 3 girls played together so well, and had a great time bouncing around and going down the huge slides.  We visited the campus museum and gift shop in an attempt to stay cool.  Then it was time for dinner!

And watching the hot air balloons...

Eventually the fireworks began, and the kids needed toothpicks to hold their eyes open & stay awake.  They slept the whole 2 hour drive home.  We love our little VMI 4th of July tradition, but it's exhausting!

The past week, we've just been trying to stay cool!  With temps raging into the 100's, sometimes a girl just needs some blue Kool-Aid to keep her hydrated.

My sweet sunshine girl...

On a particularly hot and sticky day last week, the girls dragged kitchen chairs and bed sheets into the T.V. room, and made a Girls Club Fort.  The sign says it all.....
Since Daddy is the only boy around here, I'm guessing this means him.  :)

Here's the back door of the club house.

This week, MomMom is here visiting and we have lots of fun activities on the agenda. We saw the new Disney movie, Brave on Sunday and Hannah loved it.  Sadie slept through the entire thing.
Yesterday, we took MomMom to the pool and the girls had a blast.  Hannah still wants nothing to do with water in her face, but is very comfortable 'swimming' around in her life vest.  Sadie is starting to blow bubbles in the water, doesn't mind if her face gets wet, and loves to 'float' on her back in her vest.  They love the pool!
